I help organizations hit pause and refresh their brand, culture, and productivity.

Ibis Valdes

After almost a decade of working in women's rights activism, I've seen how diversity, equity, and inclusion can change an organization first hand.

In 2011, I organized with student activists to raise awareness for the lack of support surrounding survivors of sexual violence. In 2013, I was interviewed by the producers of "The Invisible War (2011)," a documentary on sexual abuse culture in the US military. My interview was featured in the follow-up film "The Hunting Ground (2015)" about survivors of sexual assault on college campuses.

In 2016, I was invited by Lady Gaga and Joe Biden to the Academy Awards to promote the documentary and raise further awareness on a global stage. This was a history-making moment that shone a light on survivors and became a turning point in the Me Too Era. Being a part of it taught me how empathy, and listening to stories of those in marginalized communities can create real lasting change.

Soon after that experience, I wanted to further my education and learn more about protecting human rights, peacebuilding, and development. I pursued an  MA in International Law and Human Rights at the UN-mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica. I thrived in classes like International Development and Economic Rights, where I learned about the interaction between economies and human rights. After completing my studies, I dedicated my career to workforce development and entrepreneur support.

I'm not about delivering your typical diversity training. My background in human resources and my passion for human rights has led me to recognize the importance of equality in the workplace. I believe we have a stronger, more diligent workforce when all voices are heard and accounted for.

I help organizations hit pause and refresh their brand, culture, and productivity by creating initiatives that help people within marginalized groups while still furthering profitable organizations. As a boutique consulting firm, I have the advantage of being more accessible to my clients while being able to easily adapt to the latest developments in DEI strategies.

I'm able to quickly evolve to client's needs to coordinate initiatives and programs that further DEI—making changes that better your profit margin and organization as a whole. I look for solutions rather than problems while reaching goals that ultimately help your organization. Don't be left behind! Your workforce and profit margin benefit from DEI and the strategies I can potentially implement into your business.  I'd love to learn more about your business and the areas that need improvement.
